Right now, i am running a dell p3 600 mhz, but i plan on conducting a "major upgrade" where i will buy a new case, new psu, an new mobo, and an athlon xp1700.

I will be keeping my vid card, hd, cd rom drives, sound, etc...

But the problem i am having is that i am using winxp. I also want to use winxp in the new upgraded rig, but i heard winxp disables itself if it detects something new (it senses it has been installed on another machine or something).

What can i do about that?

Also, is the shuttle ak31a as good for overclocking like the epox8k7ha+?

I've never done it myself, but from what I understand, you have to call Microsoft and explain to them the upgrade. Then they'll give you a new activation code or something like that.

My brother has installed the same WinXP without problems, but if you don't feel like a pirate, you could try to copy the hard drive image to the new drive, and put that in the new computer. As for the motherboard, I would wait until a good number of KT333 motherboards have been compared.
