Question Upgrade options to speed up SABNzbd processing?

If I were to upgrade any components in my unRAID server, would it help speed up the unpack process? I'm using the binhex-sabnzbd Docker.

~3.5GB download
90 .rar files
~3-4 minute unpack

MSI P67A-GD65
i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
16GB DD3

It should help. Crypto and compression processing hits the CPU so moving up the food chain should trim those times down.

Of course it all comes down to budget.

I run my NAS on Ubuntu though for more options and have several different functions on the same box. No need for Dockers when running things natively speeds things up as well.

How frequently do you need to do this unpacking? I'm asking because I'm not really familiar with UnRAID so not sure why this unpacking is required. What is the boot storage device you are using? Is it a SATA HDD or SSD? If you are using HDD, get a decent SSD like WD Blue 500GB.

Up to a couple dozen per day.

All downloads are stored temporarily on an SSD.

unRAID boods from a USB flash drive. So the downloads are stored on the array or cache drives.

If the unpacking is taking place on SSD, you could use a NVMe SSD with a PCIe 4x NVMe M.2 adapter. Not sure if P67 supports NVMe. BIOS update may help. Samsung 980 Pro 256GB or 500GB should be enough for your needs.
