Hey there;

Current PC Components:
Monitor:
Acer Predator x34 G-sync 3440x1440p
CPU: i7-5930K @ 4.3GHz
Motherboard: ASUS X99-E-WS/USB 3.1
Ram: Corsair RGB DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB)
GPU#1 EVGA 1080 HYBRID
GPU#2 EVGA 1080 FTW (SLI)
PSU: Corsair AX1600i
SSD#1 Samsung 950 Pro 512GB
SSD#2 Samsung 850 Pro 1Tb
SSD#3 Samsung 870 Evo 4Tb
HDD#1 WD Black 7200RPM 4Tb
HDD#2 WD Black 7200RPM 4Tb
HDD#3 WD Black 7200RPM 6Tb

Thinking only need to upgrade my Graphic card and monitor to enhance gaming experience and get raytracing. I don't think upgrading PC will benefit the gaming experience that much.

Thanks

That depends on what games you're playing and what frame rate you're targeting. Current cpus have roughly 2-2.5x the single core performance of your cpu.

If you're just going for 60fps min, you shouldn't need to upgrade CPU until games developed for the ps5 pro/xbox series pro, or maybe next gen ps6/xbox series2? consoles come out.

If you're trying for 120hz+ then you might want to do a whole PC.

I'm guessing you're going with 60fps+ with ray tracing on, so you should be able to hold off on the CPU upgrade?

For smoother gameplay you'll want to upgrade the platform. Going from a 5800X to a 5800X3D increased the minimums in the games I play and it was the smart option to go through with.

This video shows the difference between the 4 generations of Ryzen CPUs on AM4. The difference from the 1600X to the 5600X is quite large. According to CPU Benchmark the 1600X in the video scores about 30% higher than your 5930K. I think a new PC should be the choice.

Well, you could half A$$ it and just pop the GPU upgrade into it and cross your fingers or for a small amount bump the foundation from 8+ year old CPU / MOBO and make sure you're good for another 10 years.

Now that new components were released a couple of months ago prices are dropping on the 12th gen gear and they're a steal. The only difference from ADL to RPL is a few more E cores but, just going to ADL from 5th gen tech is a major boost of at least 2 PCIE gens and a DMI4 which doubles your peripheral bandwidth.

If you want to keep things cost conscious you could opt for the Arc A770 16GB which is sitting at $350 but, it depends on if you're using newer games or older games as there are some deficits on older titles using older DX versions but, the arc is getting better with frequent driver updates.

It's all relative though depending on your desire for enhancements vs cost. All of this stuff ties together from one end to another and to be able to take advantage of different pieces they all have to come together like a freight train. Easily derailed when something is missing from the links between each piece.

Your current setup though seems like a blend between gaming and a file server though. Not sure how you're using all the storage but, maybe turn that box into a server / NAS and streamline things a bit.
