Upgrade now or wait

Hey all-

This is to be my very first post on the anandtech forums, but I have been a floater for a year or so now. Anyway my question is should I upgrade to a 6800 gt now? or wait till the next revision? I have a 9800 pro at the moment and it runs the games as well as it can.

What do you all think?

well, the real question is, are the games your playing, running up to your standards. From the specs i see, games should be running very well.

there is no real reason for you to upgrade, unless you just plain want to 😉 🙂

Instead of upgrading your video card, I would add another 512 mb of ram.

Yeah i thought about the ram thing, but im worried about HL2, and whether or not ill be able to run it. hmmm... my games play good so far, mybe ram is all i need

you'll be able to run it, no worries. I have almost the same setup as you and im very happy with it, I dont know why you'd want to upgrade.
