Upgrade my cpu

My 2.4c is running stable 3300 and keeping my current sys. BTW this is air cooled. I know I'm cheap but I'm married so I live dangerously. Here comes my wife!

What would give me a nice jump in speed considering overclocking.

keep saving bud, the best thing for that pc on the upgrade side of it is a new video card, and a good one will be more than 270 odd buks, aim for a 6800gt or an x800 pro...
You could probably get one second hand at arounf 300 400 buks, but no warrenty...

275 isn't hard, dfi nf4 is 129.00, venice is 140, you have a 480 watt psu, your set, you could get the epox instead

I really thought about the AMD route. I Like AMD and would really like to have the advantages and would like to have PCIe but I'll wait for M1 and in the mean time I would like to consider the best overcloing cpu for my 875 Asus P4C800E Deluxe.

My PS is only 20 pin and the Dfi requires a 24 pin. I got the 800XT PE for 221 shipped and a 3 yr warranty form ATI.
