Check my sig for my specs. Running a widescreen 21.5 inch asus monitor. Mostly play FPS like COD (plan on buying COD6 when that comes out), but also I play starcraft so I will be getting SC2 once that comes out in November, too. I really don't have a budget per say, but I would like the best bang for the buck obv.

Edit: or Should I just wait for dx11 cards? Will COD6 and SC2 be dx10?

Best bang for your buck at your resolution would be a gtx260 or 4870 1gb.
You might want to overclock that cpu to 3.0/ 3.2 also to take advantage of those cards. Also 4 gigs ram is almost standard now.

Yeah I have to update my sig. im running OC'ed to 3.4 Ghz and I have 4gb of ram as well. Does either the gtx or HD matter? I see the HDruns 800 streams while the gtx is 216, but has a higher memory clock. I am not quite sure which will be better for games.

They are equal in performance. Grab the one you can find cheaper.
I notice the gtx 260 comes bundled with Call of Duty WAW and Far Cry 2 at Newegg for 180$. I didn't see the 4870's bundled with any games?
