upgrade/GPU + PSU question

Currently have an x850xt and a 450W Fortron PSU, my x850xt fan can get really loud now that I game on a 22" WS LCD...
Am considering getting a 640MB 8800GTS, but noticed it requires a minimum of 26 amps on a 12V channel, and my PSU has 12V1 and 12V2, both of which have 18 amps.

This means I would need a new PSU, correct? Now that makes me think I should continue the wait and get a PSU and GPU when I make the plunge from 939 to AM2 since I currently have a 3200+

What do you guys think?

PS- havent posted on here in a LOOONG time

Actually, that psu has 29A of 12v maximum, which is more like 24-25A continuous, on the 12v rail. I personally would get a bigger, better one, but it's close enough to 26A that it may very well work, at least for awhile.

I will also say that the 8800GTS dose not require 26A on the 12v rail (26A x 12v is over 300 watts).

The 26A number is generic figure for the entire system that nVidia came up with to cover their bases.
