it s on a gaming pc, not for work. For all that s not gaming i use macs.

- i don t sell my old cards (never did it) so the expense is not amortised ----------> -
- i don t play recent games (only like gta v or older like BF) -----------------------> -
- i don t consider at all gtx 1080/1080ti -------------------------------------------->+
- i can consider waiting for a full pascal Titan X BLACK or something like that ----> -

(the last is the main reason of indecision)

The first tells me you have money to burn. You don't resell, you probably don't need the money and can Afford any graphics card you want at anytime.

If you play only older games, why even consider a new card of any sort at this time?

Why don't you consider 1080Ti at all? You don't even know what it will be yet.

What would be the purpose if TitanX Black if you only play older games.

In fact, what was the purpose of your current TitanX?

Having trouble following your logic, or lack thereof? Can you clarify anything considering the remarks I've made here? Thanks..

i don t like gaming itself (i m not a kid anymore), i like to test hw and what it can do. so i like to compare the perf of every gpu generation in games.

i play the same game on different config to see the differences, so i must keep old gpus to compare with the new one, and i must have the best gpu of 2016 (but also of 2015-2014-2013 ...) to compare to the others. all at stock speed and with AMD-NVIDIA reference coolers

Well, then I guess you have no choice but to buy TitanX Pascal.

Enjoy it, I guess?

If you don't like gaming, then why would you spend even a cent on graphics cards designed for gaming? Integrated graphics sounds like it will be good enough for you.

I don't understand the purpose of this thread.

So you don't game? (Proud Alienware Gamer?) What's the point? I'm going to predict the new Titan X is 60% faster than the old one...
Look, I just saved you $1200 :whiste:

I like the old Alienware design, i hate today s Alienware products.

I like to collect Alienware gaming pcs. they were fantastic.
Actually i don t use em a lot. (i only use macs and not for gaming)

i played 90% of my games on c64 - amiga in 80s-90s.

in the 90s i started to like pcs and to sell-repair computers while i was at school.i was 16-18 and i only worked to buy the best parts and test em (bench and games).

now i don t work with computers, but still like to test hw (and games are the more fun way to do this)

i don t care if a review sais it s 60% faster, the fun part is to test it, you think like a gamer :)

If you have the money to spend on expensive technology just to benchmark it, more power to you, I suppose...
