Not sure I understand you last question, but I wouldn't remove the heat spreader. WHen did you get an X2? Is it a Toledo? You probably need to update the BIOS to teh latest revision, so do that beforehand with your Venice.

I was referring to the heat spreader that comes with the cpu itself. If I don't take it off the X2, I will have to buy a new cooler since I had to modify the XP-90. Any opinions?
