I guess the "upgrade threshold" is different for everyone. I don't consider a 50% increase in GPU performance as a "worthy" upgrade, but then others are willing to spend $500 on a 20% increase in performance. Now 6800GT > 8800GTS, that was an astounding increase. I'd like to wait for something like that if possible. 8800GTS > 5850 approaches that, but I simply don't have any excess spending money at all, so no.
