I was wondering if the xbox one and ps4 controllers are an improvement over the 360 controller. The dpads on both look nicer.

Well... The Xbox One is an improvement over the Xbox 360 and the PS4 over the PS3. The same applies to the controllers. That's to be expected actually! 😀

Anyway, Read some reviews online but don't expected a huge difference.
 
All the console controllers have analog sticks that are no more accurate than the one on Nintendo 64 circa 1996. Just wait for steam controller.
