The biggest issue that I have with the Air Cooler is the Weight they put on the board.
Since the board is securely attached to the case, the force applied by the weight of the cooler is directed to the case, not the board. It's not going to be a problem, and the potential peace of mind factor is not worth any extra dollars. If something happened to the board - which is exceedingly unlikely - it'd be a safer bet to spend that extra cash towards a new motherboard.

G-Skills System Ram - Recommendation? (For Rampage IV Formula)
Same as for LGA1155. 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz 1.5V. Here is some Mushkin RAM, or does it have to be G.Skill? Mushkin is a good RAM brand as well and at the moment it's better $/GB.

Have you decided whether you're going with 2600K or if you can get the 3930K for a discount?

Thanks for the info on System Ram, but will it work on Socket 2011, because I just got ym Asus Rampage IV Formula Board today and I am a Big Fan of G-Skills, I used them in the current rig too, so that why I asked about G-Skills.

Regarding the Processor, since I get the Socket 2011, I don't think 2600K is gona fit, so it come down too 3820 or 3930K, I am leaning more towards 3820.

Any Thoughts on SSD?

Thanks Again!

Most if not all DDR3 is manufactured by Samsung, as far as I know, so as long as you pay attention to the specs to make sure they're compatible with the rest of your system, the RAM will work fine. The thing with RAM for Sandy Bridge is that, unlike previously, you don't benefit anything by overclocking it, and overclocking the CPU doesn't have anything to do with RAM overclocking. So, unlike previously, you don't need to worry about a particular model's overclockability either.

For what it's worth, Mushkin has a good reputation. The kit I picked will work in LGA2011 (that's why I recommended it).

Yes, 2600K is not compatible with LGA2011, but then again I always did recommend against LGA2011, because of several reasons already mentioned in this thread. Well, do it your way. If I were you I'd return the Rampage IV Formula and buy 2600K and an LGA1155 motherboard.

Any Thoughts on SSD?
You probably won't go wrong with Intel, but the 520 is a new SSD. I'd let others test drive it, instead of which I'd pick a drive that's been proven to be reliable and fast - Crucial M4.

Thanks alot man, and sorry about the Socket 2011 topic. My mind was kinda made up on Asus IV Rampage and I went ahead and oredred it last week. I will go with either 3820 or 3930K.

I will check out you rrecommendation on Mushkin, I have used them in the past, so I know they are good.

And I will also check out the Crucial M4

Please return that board. Even if you end up going for Socket 2011, spending $370 on a mobo is just a waste. All motherboards with a given chipset perform nearly identically. Pick the least expensive board that meets your feature requirements.

Well I am a Big Asus Fan and I paid a similar price for my Asus Maximus when it came out, so I know what I am paying for and I am cool with it, but thank you for your help.

How do you know what you're paying for if you haven't owned a cheaper motherboard of the same chipset as a reference point?

At $165 for 128GB it's the best value for money out of the high performance non-sandforce based drives. But Samsung 830 is only $170 as well, that one is just as good if not better than M4 (it used to be around $200, hence my initial recommendation of Crucial M4).

Exactly. To put it bluntly, just because you have always gotten ripped off on mobos before doesn't mean that there aren't better alternatives out there.

Your thoughts on which set is good for my Asus Rampage IV Formula, both G-Skills (Quad Channel Setup - 16GB)

F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH ($159.99)

F3-17000CL11Q-16GBZL (129.99)

Thanks!

Even the cheaper one is nowhere near worth $50 over two of the Mushkin 1600Mhz kits recommended several times earlier. Are you allergic to Mushkin?

And if you were going to pay $130 for 16GB, might as well buy 2x8GB 1600Mhz which incidentally has a -15% promo on it too making it just $110. 2x8GB 1333Mhz for $90 AP is also a nice deal.

lol, sorry brother, but I have been looking at Mushkin Ram too. If it is not to much trouble, can you please share the model of the Mushkin Ram you are recommending. I am looking for 16GB if possible and if I can get some good deal, I don't mind going Mushkin route.

Thanks!
