You can also probably get you a sub key, then download Windows 10 to it and reinstall Windows 10. Since the key is built into the BIOS now, there's no serial # to provide. Usually after the install, you can select to create an Offline Account. Since most cheap laptops tend to be Intel and have Realtek NIC and Wifi, it tends to find and install drivers anyway.

What do you mean by a sub key? If I was to reinstall windows, why would I have to download windows? Doesn't windows 10 come with a way built in to reinstall windows without needing any type of media?
you think you have some kinda recovery partition with windows 10 built in? or that windows 10 has a copy of it self ready to reinstall on notice? Prob neither of those are the case but it sounds like a great idea.
A sub key sounds like "subscription key" they dont seem to sell the programs anymore just lease them to you so no one steals them and requires updates constantly! id rather use word95but i dont really use the new features of office so im not a good person to ask.

Short of opening the laptop up and looking at the hardware, is there a way to tell what brand the hardware like the SSD and ram is? I looked in system info and couldn't find where it said the brand of it
The hard drive can be found in drive properties or device manager.
If you search your computer for sysinfo or system information, you might be able to find some information.
I know Ram and other information can be found using programs like cpu-z, hwinfo, or speccy.
