Hey,

I currently have an epox 8kha+ motherboard, 256 DDR Mushkin High Performance Pc2100, 40gig hard drive, dvd and cd-rw, amd xp1600+, geforce3, sblive xgamer

I am looking to upgrade and Im not sure if now is the time or to wait a little while. I would probably like to stick with via and mabye the kt333 chipset? Any info on what I should do at this point either upgrade now or wait for something in the future? When is the kt400 coming out?

Thanks

i love my 8k3a+ (via kt333)
but to be honest you probably wont notice much of a performance increase upgrading from your current kt266a board

unless you really want to run a 166mhz fsb (while keeping the rest of the system in spec) you would probably be better off waiting

ohh and to finish answering your question...

its my understanding that the kt400 chips have already started shipping to mobo makers, so the boards should be out pretty soon

Your rig looks good. You could upgrade to the 2100 xp, but also try overclocking first if you feel the need for speed.
