You could always go for some mild overclocking.

Buy some super expensive low latency memory, run the memory/fsb at 250mhz(which I believe the fx-55 has official support for) with extremely low latency settings, and maybe even boost the cpu speed by 200mhz, and that might give you a decent boost without sacrificing stability.

That's what I'm pushing for, but 100 tick takes up A LOT of CPU... 66 tick is my goal after we upgrade
