UPDATING THE BIOS

I have a BIOSTAR M7VKB motherboard and I am trying to update the BIOS.

I downloaded the ASDFL882.EXE and VKB0524F.BIN from your website and I am trying to update the BIOS. I downloaded it from this page: http://www.biostar-usa.com/mbdownloads.asp?model=m7vkb

I am unsure how to install the above two files. It doesn't really explain how. There is a readme that explains how to do it, but there are 2 ways to install it and I can't install it the way the readme explains it b/c I don't have that flasher techonology.

Thank you for your time and help.

Did you look at the Update BIOS link on the right side of the page you linked to ? ?
It is very clear how to do it from Within the BIOS ... If your BIOS or mobo is so old
that it does have that feature, then you Must use the utility file: AWDFL882.EXE
to flash the bios

Award BIOS flashing utility and instruction file.
This is only for legacy motherboards which do not support the Biostar Flasher technology (i.e. updating BIOS from within CMOS setup). Please use CMOS setup to update your BIOS instead of this utility whenever possible.

Make a bootable floppy copy the 2 files to it and then boot. As a command when you get there typ ASDFL882.exe VKB0524F.BIN

this will tell the flash utility to use the bin file as the bios to use. It should write and verify then reboot.
