Updating firefox bookmarks.....

The problem is how to keep my firefox bookmarks up to date on 3 computers and 1 laptop. My idea is to make some sort of server on my main computer and a way to synchronize to the main computer bookmarks. How to do this is the question. I know that firefos provide a way to do this "in the cloud" but preferably i was wondering how difficult to do this myself locally in my home network?
