Updating DMI pool....?

I don't know if this is a AMD thing, VIA, or XP but it happens during boot up.

About a week ago my machine just seemed to stop at that point. Usually it says ...sucess and boots.

Anyone know that it is and if there is anything I can do if it starts happening again?

Thanks

Farley

That's a BIOS issue, it hangs before loading the MBR from the disk.

Check your disk cabling and hardware is my first thought. I think I've seen this when I've plugged in IDE cables backward or had 2 masters or 2 slaves on the IDE bus.
