Updating CPU driver

Okay, I got the driver from AMD64 site (the same version that my mobo's website has). What do I need to know before I update the driver? Do I have to uninstall the current driver, then install the newest driver in Safe Mode or what? Thanks

Give us the link to what you're talking about.

Sounds like Cool'n Quiet. I think it's just meant for laptops. When you're not doing anything CPU intensive it'll throttle back the MHz to stay cool and draw less power.

No, it list on my mobo's driver for the SL-K8AN2E-GR. So it's definitely for the desktop computer, not laptop.

Any idea on which method to install it correctly?

Hey man, I honestly wouldn't even bother with that.

I am not going to install it... system works fine as is? driver isn't needed. If a driver was necessary, there would be signs!
