I see you asked about new CPUs elsewhere. A BIOS update might broaden the motherboard's CPU support so you have more workable options. Looking at the NF7-S BIOS revisions since the start of this year, I see they've addressed other issues as well, some being SATA-related, so you might have several reasons to want to update.
