Updating Bios and OC Profiles

I am using a Asus P6X58D-E motherboard, and had saved in its setup, some OC Profiles.- If I update the Bios, should that profiles remain, or be deleted by the new Bios ?

My experience with other Mobo's is that you lose them, however you may have the option to save them to an external device like a USB drive...
