Ok I got the CWM flashable version of .68 on there. but lots of errors for everything. Something didn't go right. I have no market, the music player doesn't work. I don't think I backed up either I thought it backed up automatically but I think I'm wrong. Thats what happens when you're tired. ARGH. Somebody slap me. Anyway to get the market back and the music player working?

EDIT. Some Apps I had on there before are on there though, like Rom Manager, Angry Birds, Fancy Widget and Titanium Backup (wish I would've used that last one.) Youtube works and I can get to gmail thru the email app thats on there cuz the internet works. HELP!

Did you verify your version of Froyo came with GApps? If not, you'll need to flash them - you can grab them @ XDA.

Generally if you're noticing some problems, odds are you should flash the ROM again. You also need to mount the SD card, there's details @ XDA. You should probably stick around XDA and ask for help, as the devs are rather active and they can help you a lot quicker than those guys here.

Ok I got the google apps file installed and working. Now to try to get youtube working. I download the updated apk file but don't know what to do with it as my PC doesn't see the nook itself, only the sd card and more external storage...

OK, so you've never setup ADB? You need to install the Android SDK and get ADB to work. There's details on XDA, or NookDevs but they're down for maintenance right now.

Ok are these things I would be installing on my PC or the nook?

You can get by with ADB. I have hacked my Nook to pieces without ABD.

The trick is to install the Astro file manager, then use it to install apks that you downloaded to the SD card on your computer...

Ok ... SOMEHOW I got everything working. I kinda had to do a "ghetto" setup on it. I ended up completely uninstalling the youtube app, then re-flashing the ROM with the Froyo and gapps.zip one after the other then going to the market and re-downloading the youtube app. So my Gmail, the browser, the updated softkeys and the You Tube app all work - FOR NOW.

The music app still doesn't work (even Winamp) and none the pictures that are on the card show up in gallery. I haven't formatted the card yet. Should I?

I also managed to download and install Flash 10.1 off the market. How can I test to see if it works properly?

EDIT: Got it. Just watched a Battle Los Angeles trailer on that m.flash.com site.

I just restored back to stock this morning as mine was all screwy as well. Then it ended up getting stuck at the touch start screen. First thing I did though was make a Clockwork Backup and then set it aside on my computer. I need to get another mSD card so I can have the backup on permanent standby lol.

Pretty happy though this thing is very promising :D

This worked for market problems for me:
Only clear "CACHE" for Market.apk otherwise you won't be able to see any Gapps. Here is what I did after setting up/login in:

1. Clear "DATA" for Google Services Framework then force stop.

2. Clear "CACHE" for Market then force stop.

3. Fix permissions in ROM Manager then boot to CWR.

4. Format "CACHE" in CWR.

5. Reboot

I upgraded to the newest CM7 nightly and gapps.zip and that fixed the market for me.

Well its been an interesting few days with this thing! Just got the new eMMC overclock kernel and got SetCPU and its ticking along at 1.1ghz set to "Interactive". Running good. I got the paid version of PowerAmp music player, Beautiful Widgets and a few games (gotta love Angry Birds lol). I'm really liking this thing. Those guys over at XDA really know their stuff....

Seems a bit flaky so far for me. Went back to the 1.0.1 stock firmware, auto-nookered it, then added the 1.1r2 (something like that) pre-rooted update. Both before and after have had some unexplained reboots...and one complete poop out (at the touch loading screen).

Had it again today...took off the charger, tried to start and choked. Finally managed to get to an "update failed" screen and then got it to reboot successfully.

Have some mSD cards on the way from Newegg though which will help (I only have one 4GB class 2 card right now). Going to try running Froyo from a class 6 card when they come in.

I rooted my Nook Color using Froyo 0.6.8. It didn't work well and now I can't unroot. Could anyone please tell me how to unroot and get back to my factory setting. Thanks.

Well I'm on CM7/22 right now. With Froyo, I've been told to use the "Interactive" setting.
