must have a bottleneck somewhere... if i run bandwidth tests on other sites i get 600-700 kb/s, but with this file i'm only getting 65.2.... weird.

385 kb/sec on comcast, wait till i get back to school and i will try it on my .edu, nice server btw

Wouldn't the download speeds depend on several factors (ISP load, your servers "load" - these being related to peak hours)?

Downloaded in 1 min, 0 sec at 341Kb/sec using WideOpenWest

Mine follows that same pattern. Actually, it starts off faster and creaps down for nearly any download I do. Does anybody know why some downloads are like that?

Rename the file anything.exe and you'll see.

Oh, that's not very risky!!! lol
Should we disable our anti-virus prior to running said executable file - simply to improve the files performance?

357KBps, but another server I can usually get [slightly over 400KB from] was @ 380KB, so there's a bit of congestion right now.
