When people say it is rude to do things like spray someone with Febreeze, that's crazy. It's more rude that this person doesn't care about our nasal sensitivity

Maybe he has a medical problem..physical or psychological.
Maybe it's a cutural difference. One just never knows and you have to be careful.

Get to know him. Befriend him. Find out what he is all about. There is a mind inside that cloud of odor and as different as it is from yours you may just enlighten your mind by tolerating/understanding others differences.

Invite him to go the swimming pool with you at last once a week. The chlorine should keep him smelling fresh for several days. A jacuzzi would be even better . The jets would help exfoliate his dead skin cells. ( I would not get into the jacuzzi with him though!) This worked with someone I know who went a whole summer ( In Florida) without taking a shower. They just hit the pool as needed.

yeah I wouldn't worry about it. Its Dorm living. During my time in the dorms we did so many fscked up things to each other

Sprayed all around him with deodorant, just not on him, that would be rude.

Put tons of air freshner things outside his door so whenever he walks in or out his door he smells clean. Or, maybe something that senses when he walks in or out and sprays perfume on him. An alternative would be to let George dub-ya Bush know about your problem, let him know it's a health hazard, he might actually read the subject line then.

The hall is kept freshly air freshened every 10 min by people on the floor, we also complained to the RA...

Don't do stupid shiet like put deodorant or shampoo and soap outside is door.. that is RETARDED and MEAN. Just go up to him and say, "I don't mean to be rude or anything, and I mean this in the most polite way but you smell.. pretty bad dawg." Confront him and be polite...

Did it, didnt work too well.

Get a few of your friends together and give him a shower. Use 3M greenies and a stiff bristled brush. After being forcefully cleansed he will most likely take the job of future showers upon himself. Works in the military.

If it dosen't, issue Fabreeze bottles to everyone (or a majority) on the floor. Whenever one of those people sees him, they spray him several times. If he complains, explain in no uncertain terms why it's being done.At a con I was at once we actually held down one such individual and emptied a quarter of a fabreeze bottle on him to make the point.

We are all heavily armed with febreeze and air freshner, we spray as he goes by, his roommate has sprayed him while hes sleeping lol. Our idea is febreeze water balloons that we will pelt him with...

I'd get everyone else on the floor to sign something and go see the head of the Dorms. Make accusations that you can't study or concentrate, it's ruining the college experience, and that it's hurting your ability to perform at your best in your classes.

We have complained to the RA and the resident dean has heard of it, but their burocratic ways are to frickin slow...(i suck at spelling)

Otherwise spray a can of lysol under his door or something.

We all have, several times. We even told him to just wear socks so his feet dont smell..gosh.

i was friends with his roomate. HAHA. Im so evil. hahaa. well, anyway, my friend was Indian american. we tried all sorts of things, finally, my friend told him gently, and nicely (if you want to get american girls, you have to smell good) then he started showering 3 times a day! but no go, no deodorant!

The guy who smells is white, and gay...apparently even though he smells hes getting plenty of "ass".

I think part of the original problem was he smashed his toe with an amp he was carrying, then it got infected...

He has to goto student health by the 16th or else he has to go talk to the resident dean (RA made a contract)...also i dont think the "gay white males from indiana" culture makes u stink.

There was a guy that lived a couple doors down from me that was giving off one helluva stink. Some guys in my wing emptied about 4 bottles of that Axe body spray (we got some free) on his door. The hall REEKED of that crap, but I haven't smelled that dude since. Maybe he moved out...I have a few neighbors that are pretty antisocial that I haven't actually met.

Yech. I had a roommate while I was at VT who stunk and would leave this halo of oil on his pillow. It was nasty as hell. I feel your pain, though there wasn't really a cloud of stench around him, it would just sneak up on you and kick you in the balls.
