Updated router firmware: Tomato 1.2.6

WEll I finally got both my routers using tomato and WDS working.

I was banging my head against a wall because I had a digit off in my mac address setup
Once I saw that is was smooth sailing!

Got a WRT54GL on the way, will be using Tomato firmware on it. I've been doing research for the past week on the different firmwares and I narrowed it down to OpenWRT or Tomato. Tomato seems to be noob-friendly so I think I'll try it out first and maybe later try OpenWRT for it's customization.

I'm not sure but I think you need 8MB ram to run tomato.
I think DD-wrt micro is the only option for a router with 2mb ram ( I run that in a wrt-54g V5 at my in-laws house)

Yes. I am using Tomato on my V4 router and DD-WRT Micro on my V5 one.

I've been using Tomato for a while, but I can't seem to find a good guide for setting up QoS prioritization. If I'm torrenting, it totally messes up my Vonage VOIP to the point that I have to switch to my cell phone to have a proper conversation. I followed a couple of guides, but it's still pretty bad. They always seem to have steps up to and then skipping over the specific settings I need to know about.

Eh, I seen that while doing research but I don't quite understand which one would be best. I guess I'm in about the same boat as DefRef. QoS customization is essential since I also have Vonage that will need top priority, next my desktop, then one wireless connection and one media server.

Would the stock Tomato be ok or would one of the those mod packages be better?
