K I got a Raid0 setup pretty easily. But I think jpbelauskas is right I should have it mirrored too. Is it possible to Raid0+1 using 2 80GBs (striped) and mirror to a 160GB? I have the 2 80GBs as masters on their own IDE channels. Could I add the 160GB to a slave channel and mirror? thanks for any tips!

I put my RAID card in and added 2 80GB HDDs. I read 64k was good for most uses so went with that. Go to windows and initialize and convert the discs and should I use an allocation size of 64k to keep them on the same page? This striped array is for MP3s only (most ranging from 2MB - 10MB) .. quick access and streaming to multiple PCs is what i'm looking for. Thanks for any tips!

default size should be fine, but you should really be putting those mp3's on a raid 1 array for redundancy. you lose one of your raid 0 drives and **POOF!** it's gone. Like magic.

no, but you could do backups to the 160GB of the important data... You can't mirror one array onto a second drive.
