I think I would have loved BS a lot more if it hadn't been hyped for 2 years with Game of the Show honors and then given 10/10 by every reviewer. How can anything live up to that?

I enjoyed the game a lot, it was atmospheric and the gameplay was varied enough to keep me going, the environments were awesome. But I kept waiting to be blown away by something revolutionary and that just never happened.

A fantastic game and looking forward to the sequel, with more modest expectations this time.

Why the hell would it? They only moved slow when they were idling around. When they turned aggressive ("red") those fuckers were like the hulk chasing you down for stealing his girlfriend.
 
Looks just like the 1st one! If it works the 1st time, don't change anything. I can dig it. But looks like I'll wait for it to drop to $30 like the 1st BS before I make the purchase.

I agree. I thought it was going to be a rumble every time the guy took a step and you were going to like walk like a robot (sort of like the space suit thing in FEAR😛O or EFBB) but it's nothing like that it seems.....
 

Being an immense fan of the first, I will be in attendance. I just hope they don't fuck it up.

Plus, part of me wonders if BioShock was so special because of it's unique steampunk milieu and creative atmosphere. Multiple games in that world may not allow it to retain the mystique the original had.
 
I didn't particularly liked BioShock, but I do recognize that it is generally a quality product, and the concept behind the game was good (I just thought that the execution wasn't that good however, but that's just me). And BioShock 2 looks good so far, I will certainly give it a try if they release a demo like they did for the first one (which convinced me to buy it, only to be disappointed afterwards). I'll see if that time around the demo will deceive me or not.

Sorry, I'm a little late in posting........ 'twas a politics issue/recent 2mth ban (you know who), but yea' I'm really looking forward to this game. It'll be my first pre-order Pc game.
 
Anyone who thinks Bioshock is a bad game needs to be sent to a reeducation camp :cross arms:

Bioshock was the first first person shooter I've finished other than Doom, Doom 2, and Duke Nukem 3D...it didn't blow my pants off, but was a good *consistent* experience. A lot of shooters just go to hell after the first few levels.
 
The trailer looks pretty awesome. I loved the atmosphere of the first. I have to admit that I don't read about many games before they come out, so I wasn't expecting much from the first one. But I picked it up for $5 on steam one weekend and was hooked! I'll probably get this one a few months after it's released (I still have a few other games to finish), but I'm really looking forward to it.

What kind of a moran thought up this "age verification system"? Don't people realize that any 7 year old with half a brain can just fake his age? It's not a big deal but it's simply annoying!

Otherwise nice video. Looks very promising.

A few things I am not happy about:

1)Blood still looks like artificial plastic squirting out of enemies, and it's not even really red.
2)GFX Engine is the same, not that it looks dated or anything...
3)Seems like enemy models are still recycled way too much.

Oh well, I got over all this in the original and it was great. I'll get over it in the sequel too. 😉
