i have a new hosting site taht someone has generously is hosting for free for me.
all the same songs are there, just hosted someplace else. LOTS MORE BANDWIDTH.
im thinking of recording some classical music too.

all fingerpicking songs hosted here now

led zep - baby im gonna leave you
beegees - this is where i came in
beatles - blackbird
randy rhoades - dee
jewel
extreme- more than words
metallica - nothing else matters
crono cross - radical dreamers
extreme - rise and shine
led zep - stairway to heaven
sting - shape of my heart

I don't know any of these songs, so I can't really comment on accuracy..

My only advice is to watch your fingering, work on precision.. avoid those dead notes. 🙂

GJ on Babe I'm Gonna Leave You. Sounds perfect. Radial Dreamer is really well done, too.

What are you playing?

thanks guys for the compliments

im using a ibanez rg470 , used a boss reverb petal, inputted staight to my soundcard.

I only know the Sting song, but I will pronounce an overall judgement across the three songs. You get an "A" for artistic interpretation. I give you a "B" for rhythm, as it's a little shaky in spots in the first two songs (nitpicking here). The Crono Cross one is excellent, btw ("A+" if I were to give it its own overall grade).

Bandwidth quota exceeded.

I suck at finger picking. I am working on Dear Prudence this week. Kinda hard for me.

Nice work with the CC one, but the first strum sounds, er, queer (the one that ends the first musical section, with a pause right after).

I would like to hear less of the lower strings, too.

my guitar may be slightly out of tune, but thats the correct tone, trust me. i bought the crono cross musical notation book.
and the lower strings are just louder i guess, sounds much better if i play it straight through my guitar amp rather than computer speakers

? howd you hook it up and record? i just got my first electric about a week ago, i wanna try this out

not notes, i play with tablature. i could read music though since i played piano before, but tabs and guitar is so much easier for me

guitar cords are 1/4, and your soundcard line in accepts the smaller 1/8, so i went to radio shack and got a 1/4 to 1/8 stereo convertor, for like couple of bucks, and recorded using the built in software that came with the driver cds for my audigy1. but somehow it only catches my left speakers. also amplification might be a problem, so hook up a pedal inbetween your soundcard and guitar.

jjyiz28, ever heard of Guitar Pro?

no, what are you insinuating?
i like "guitarworld", but never got around to getting a subsciption. and i bought tablature books for metallica, megadeth, and dreamtheater(too damn hard)

I have a feeling you're probably recording in stereo, which is making it only come out one speaker. Set your software to record in mono, and the problem should be solved.

i can't with this audigy software but i can with a shareware player. i have both mono and stereo adapter but they still only work on 1 speakers with audigy recorder

A guitar is mono, and your adapter is meant to turn 1/4 stereo to 1/8 stereo. You put a mono 1/4 into it, and thus you only get sound in one channel.

edit: just listened, pretty good. I played guitar for a couple years and could never play stuff like that (well, I was into metal so I never really tried either 😉).
