Might go see "American Splendor" tho.

Words out of my mouth. I've heard quite complementary things about Bill Murray's performance in "Lost in Translation."

Thanks for the heads-up, I've been wanting to see Matchstick Men. Can't believe that girl is really like 23! :Q

my weekend:

friday: once upon a time in mexico
saturday: arnold rally and matchstick men
sunday: lost in translation if i can find a theater!

Definately waiting on Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Anyone else notice that Desperado has been on TNT nonstop this last week? Like back-to-back-to-back sometimes...

i highly recommend Once Upon a Time In Mexico. saw it wednesday, 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up from me. plan to watch it again this sunday. depp once again, pulls off an EXCELLENT performance.

Dammit, I think I need to stop on the way home & pick up Desperado Superbit.

Then this weekend I can watch Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

Depp and Pee Wee Herman were EXCELLENT in Blow.

DO you need to have seen EL Mariachi and Desperado to enjoy this one?
no. there are a couple references, but they do try and keep you updated on past events.

Depp has been really impressing me lately. From Hell, Chocolat, Fear and Loathing, Sleepy Hollow, Pirates, and now Once Upon... and of course, the Rossman mentioned Blow. he is really smart about picking his projects.

edit: lol, and Rossman, ty for copying my formatting... 😛

yes viper, i saw your other thread, but was a couple days late, already thought you bought it, but i own the Desperado Superbit and recommend it, but I hear the new special edition has a video/audio transfer that rivals that of the Superbit, and is a couple bucks less.

YES! Finally, a good solid movie-weekend for me and my friends! For someone that lives at the movies, I've only seen one movie in the last 2 weeks, that being Dirty Pretty Things!

Maybe we'll moviehop. haven't moviehopped in a while....it'll be like high school all over again. 😀

Blow: Excellent movie and definitely one of Johnny Depp's best...

Alright what's the big deal with a superbit DVD?

Is it like the HiFi DVD or are those two different formats/enhancements?

Is American Splendor supposed to be good?

Damn Lost in Transition hasn't hit Portland yet even though the release date is today 9/12.

"Lost in Translation" in only being released in "select markets". This most likely means the top 10 metro markets.

The good news is that it should be expanding during the next three weeks.

Bill Murray is one of the best.
