where's the chocolate in that?

I assume its chocolate whey protein powder.

Just a guess

Can someone PM me the 5% off coupon? I finally got back into working out and would like to buy some stuff to aid in muscling back up quickly so I can then drop the fat out(or so the theory goes, but it doesn't hurt to have much more strength too since I'm sick of trailing behind my friends so badly after not working out for 3 years).

Anyway, please PM!

OK so I placed an order on the freakin' 26th and these idiots claim they ship out in 2 days and I should get my stuff WITHIN 2 weeks.

Well tommorrow it's 2 weeks and I still don't have the UPS tracking # they promised me. So where's my F'ING order? And when you go to their website they tell you to use some crappy e-mail system for customer service and not call them up at their sales number. Yeah sure.

The worst part is that they billed me on the 27th of January. Just great. So in the meantime my CC bill is already due and I still have nothing, not even a tracking #.

I don't think you should order from these morons. They shouldn't promise things they can't deliver.

vitaglo.com has Optimum whey for $45 / 10 lb. bag, with free shipping over $50 (I bought two bags). With the free shipping on 20+ lbs. of merchandise, I didn't even bother dealing with the 5%+5%-shipping hassle. Vitaglo has always been really, really quick -- they must ship same-day. Their Designer Protein is also really cheap.

For those that don't follow bodybuilding very closely, Optimum whey has a great reputation. It has a very high percentage of protein per unit weight (over 80%), and independent lab tests have shown that the protein content is actually undervalued. Supposedly a number of pro bodybuilders (who could afford/endorse anything) use the stuff.

From making friends with the owner of a gym, I have some idea of the markup on supplements, and I can tell you that the "best available prices" that you see in this thread, such as those updated in the first post, are at wholesale, or in some cases below wholesale. I've been following supplement prices for a long time (10+ years), and I've never seen another reputable firm charge prices (at least for protein, which is what I buy the most) lower than vitaglo.com . DPSNutrition.com is another one that is always right at the lowest shipped price on a range of supplements.

So, when I see a too-good-to-be-true special that promises another 10% off of that -- at a price that no one in the industry can match, and must be losing them money, and which is getting the notorious "Anandtech effect" to boot -- I personally don't risk it.

It's the same thing with computer parts: I'll buy Newegg if they're in the ballpark because they're a great company. . . and they have good pricing anyway.

1-800-545-8012 press 2 once the machine comes. I stopeed ordering here. Initially it was ok, but now its just crazy. It took me 4 weeks to get my supliments that last 2 times I ordered. Absolutlly un-acceptable.
I just shop at Vitaglo, DPSNutrition, or Planetdepot.com

Another good, reputable firm is http://1fast400.com/
and http://www.netrition.com/

If you want bulk, specialized protein go to http://www.proteinfactory.com/store/
or https://ssl.zoovy.com/proteincustomizer/

For bulk supplement powders (including longevity and general health markets) try http://www.beyond-a-century.com/

For buying weight lifting equipment, if you can find it local, you will certainly save on shipping, but http://www.newyorkbarbells.tv/ has really good pricing for mail order. Even if you buy a weight set locally, you might want to round it out with 1.25 lb. plates, or with some different weight stack handles.

The absolute best vitamins and supplements are here:

www.lifeextension.com

Ok, ok. I happen to work for this company, but i do believe that they have very very high quality supplements and a huge following of loyal members. One caveat though, definitely not the lowest prices around (an ATHD sin!!), but you get what you pay for. BTW, ALOT of the companies listed in this thread sell our products.

FYI: I'm not getting anything out of it, since the company is huge and does very well on its own, I just actually happen to like the company (a first for me!!)
