If anyone can give us the heads up on when they will be available at the various stores (a confirmation) that would be great. Aside from EB is anyone selling them tommorrow?

GBC Wormlight will function in a GBA, but it'll be dimmer and insufficient since GBA puts less voltage out to its link port.

Battery life is, I believe, 15 hours with 2 AA batteries.

As far as I can tell, places you're paying $100 like EBWorld, EBX, Babbages, Gamespot, etc etc are all getting them Monday. For $90 you wait til Wednesday and pick it up at Target or KMart.

I'm wondering if EB and such will pricematch Target, although it clearly says "Wednesday, June 13" in the ads.

Can someone tell me what's the differece between the Gameboy Color and the Gameboy Advance? Does the GBA offer better graphics/game titles? Is that why the price is higher than the GBC? Also, will the game titles for GBA work with GBC?

Another thing to consider, is that Toys-R-Us will pricematch, so I'm going there Wed morning with the K-mart ad.

K-mart has some of the cheapest prices on games from what I've seen...GBA $89, Mario 24.99, F-Zero 24.99, Tony Hawk 34.99. I doubt T-R-Us will allow the pricematch for the actual GBA since they're including the carrying case, but it's worth a try.

BTW, I have Toys-R-Us store credit, so that's why I'm stuck going there...I'll let you know what happens w/ the PM's.

Ross - My friend just got Rayman and Castlevania today. Rayman looks really good and colorful, but it's a shame that the character has to be so big. I like my side-scrollers to allow me to see more of the environment at once, so I'm going w/ Mario and Tony Hawk first, and maybe Castlevania. I'm going to try and play some Castlevania tomorrow, so I'll let you know how that is.

Here's a rundown from Gamespot on the top ten games, along w/ scores:

1)Super Mario Advance Score: 8.2

2)Castlevania: Circle of the Moon Score: 9.6

3)Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Score: 9.3

4)F-Zero: Maximum Velocity Score: 8.1

5)Super Dodge Ball Advance Score: 7.1

6)GT Advance Championship Racing Score: 7.3

7)Iridion 3-D Score: 5.6

8)Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure Score: 4.3

9)Konami Krazy Racers Score: 8.1

10)Earthworm Jim Score: 7.5

From yesterday's ads, I found that lower price guarantee won't apply to GBA @ Toysrus. go figure!

Matt Stone - I loved Super Mario Brothers 2, especially there was no time limit so I could go everywhere and just fool around without my character dying. I never did successfully beat Super Mario Brothers 3 though, I'm sure this will forever scar me.

*shrugs* <--- needs therapy

What's the big deal with this F Zero game, is it really that good?

Woohoo! I got my Gameboy Advance (actually it is for my wife, she loves Super Mario 2), went to the local Toys R Us, and even though the sign says release date on 06/13, theya had them in stock and selling. I'm looking forward for the new Castlevania game, saw it at Fry's today but wanted it cheaper. Too cool!

Any idea how early one should arrive on Wednesday to the stores - planning to hit the Target in Irvine... think BB in Costa Mesa would be pretty heavy.

I have no idea, but I did go there this morning (Best Buy in Costa Mesa), and the games are in stock. Rumor has it that they have the GBA in stock too, but need to find space to put them out on the shelves. Could be out as soon as this evening, I would call and check.

A reliable source from BB advised they aren't allowed to sell before tomorrow (6/13/01). Unloading trucks tonight which will probably have GBA also.
