I sent an email to Gigabyte 2 days ago and was pleasently surprised to receive a beta bios in reply to try out for them to see if it cures the problems with the F5 bios.

You can download from my webby here

Hope this is if some help to you guys with this board 🙂

Please can anyone who tries this bios please give me some feedback.
thanx,

rockhard =)

Well I was running F4 and didn't notice anything broke except for the thing won't reboot without removing power from the system. It still does that with this new one. No biggie cause I don't reboot often. I guess that can't be fixed in the bios.

Schwartz - What PSU u using?
Have you connected the 4 pin mobo connector?

I have not had any problems rebooting with any of the bioses FWIW.
The only problem i had was the 2/3 clock.
Also this board will not OC for toffee for me.
Either that or my 1.6A is not good for 2.13gig :/
I like stable workstation so no overclocking for me anways 🙂

It only does it when I am overclocked. I have a 2.0a running at 2.7. Yes, I have the 4-pin mobo connector connected. It is an Antec 350W PSU. I have heard of others with this problem too. I'm not sure what causes it tho.

It looks like overclocking is this boards problem 🙁
I am happy now as i dont overclock but if i was in you guys shoes i would be expecting more i guess.
