Im searching now for a towing company in Baker...
then I guess i get to drive frown West LA to baker tonight
UPDATE:
Update: Long night done
I started driving while she was calling tow companies...then they couldnt find anyplace to bring the car (it was 1:30 am when the tow truck got there)...they started headed for Barstow which was about 40 miles away....so I started driving there, but around 2am when I am 50 miles from barstow, they called because they couldnt get any confirmation on a place to bring the car there, so the next closest place was San Bernandino which I was near, so I got to the shop at about 2:30 and gave them a call, they were still an hour away.
so now I am at a Chevy dealership in a pretty run down area with an hour to spare...after about 30 minutes of sitting in the car I remembered I had my golf bag in the trunk so i took out some clubs and started hitting a plastic ball i had against the dealerships wall till 3:30am and then they showed up and I got to drive her home and got back to my place about 5am
I didnt make it to work on time today
now she has got to find a ride out to san bernadino tom. or this weekend probably as I will be in Montreal, but yeah it def. sounds like the alternator is the problem they way she said what happened.
and there really was no other way as she was minimum 30 miles from the closest sign of life and she had absolutely no power in the car....she was lucky and the tow truck got there within 30 minutes though...she wasnt to happy about being stuck in the middle of the desert with no power
