So why does Newegg love South FL so much? Are there codes like this for other states (like NV)?

No clue. It's a puzzle to me too. I have been asking people to post here if they find a similar code in their local paper, but NO ONE has found any in three and a half months.

The only explanation I can come up with is that Newegg feels that their sales here in South Florida are lagging or that they want to expand into South America (with Miami being a major trade hub with that part of the world). They may believe that there must be enough South American business owners on trips here that may eventually notice their ads or local companies that do exports into South America.

Just my guess.

I did not find Newegg's ad in the paper today, but the next logical choice for the promo code works: newegg1018.

I assume it has everything to do with a competitor (TigerDirect) being there...who, after obtaining the CompUSA brand, re-opened some retail B&M locations in the So. Florida area.

Same story this week. Herald1025 works, but I did not see it in the usual sections of the newspaper.

Also, the reopened Circuit City's in South FL that are really just more Tiger Direct hidden storefronts.

I think TD should stick to selling stuff out of the trunk of cars, where at least you knew the products orgin was questionable, and warranty is pretty much useless. That would also help the Florida taxpayer funded Attorney General from having to repeatedly sue TD for fraud.

Plus, that area has a lot of BrandSmart stores.
