PC Liquidator has TFT Flat Panel Monitors on thier "Private Sale" for $199.99

I was in thier store last week and saw one and was going to buy one for $239, but now I am going to save 40 bucks. It is only 12.1 inches but it is great for my small desk in the bedroom. It looks to be the same viewing size as a 14" monitor?

12.1 inches ???

thats small man - still itd be nice to do a homemade digital picture frame / bedside email reader / framed cctv output . . .

Anyone know anything about tearing the guts out of these things and doing something besides VGA with them?

Moose, how about the 125.00 source? I want to build a navigation pc for my boat and dont want to spend big bucks on the monitor because it might get crushed from the impact.

12.1" LCD is comparable to a 14" CRT, which is usually 12" or 13" viewable. This *will* be too small for most of you after a short while (I retired my 15" LCD, and moved to an 18.1")

Personally, I'd like to find a cheap LCD about 7.6" - 8" for in-car (or in-boat, as sixpackdate mentioned) use.

I don't know what the specs on it are (or even manufacturer), but Office Max will have a 15" LCD for $200 AR and AC starting 9/1.

A lot of upfront costs, though.

$399.99 - $80IR - $30MIR - $40MIR - $50 (off $250 coupon) = $200.

I just bought one in thier store for $179. They are great for point of sale uses and where the space is limited.
