Buy.com $30 off $150 coupon for returning customers.

1/19 Update - There's also a Buy.com $10 off $30 coupon for new customers, then again how likely are any of us to be a new customer? HA! Anyhow this would be nice to cover their shipping costs if you find some cheap software, slap on a DVD flick then top it off with I dunno a book?

Unfortunately Buy.com's free shipping offer has ended but if you can find any products with manufacturer rebates then that would sweeten this deal!

If I can't find any awesome computer deals (e.g. TDK VeloCD 12/10/32 CD-RW with 50 CD-Rs $180) then I'll probably spend my $150 - $30 coupon on DVDs. Look at their pre-order selection:

$17.99 Bring It On
$17.99 Meet The Parents
$19.99 Wonder Boys
$19.99 The Kid
$14.99 Bait
$15.99 Dr. T and the Women
$15.99 When Harry Met Sally
$15.99 Cecil B. DeMented
$137.99 Oliver Stone Collection (10 pack)
$15.99 Urban Legends: Final Cut
$18.49 Me, Myself and Irene
$18.49 What Lies Beneath
$17.99 The Watcher
$19.99 Bless The Child
$17.99 Almost Famous

Thanks to Moz here's additional deals:
$129.95 ATI Radeon 32MB DDR AGP

Moz also listed these great DVD pre-orders:
$15.99 Ben Hur
$19.99 The Untouchables
$14.49 Nuremberg
$15.99 The Ice Storm

$15.99 Ben Hur

$125.95 Creative 12x DVD (will need to add more to reach $150)

1/25 UPDATE: - I'm surprised the Buy.com $30 off $150 coupon lasted for as long as it did, it was supposed to expire 1/31 but we all know how that works. The $30 off $150 is now DEAD however the $10 off $30 for new customers is still working. I'm SO GLAD I didn't hesitate and wait, I was able to make two $150 DVD orders - two $30 coupons - 8% off, Wooha!

miniMUNCH - Hehe I noticed that, I decided to first post the actual coupon on FW then on here. Otherwise if I had posted here first and without the huge a$$ list of DVDs then I would have probably beat you by a few minutes also.

Think of any creative ways to use this coupon yet?

Nice post, nothing too spectacular in terms of gear like Rossman said - however they do have the Radeon (retail I believe) at around ~159 which is a decent deal if you want to get a retail version coupled with the coupon.

Rossman definitely wins with his post because of the detail...he undoubtedly saw the deal before me. I have deleted my thread.

Hey Rossman, add the Creative PC-DVD 12X Encore w/ DXR3 decoder card shown here; it's not over $150 but it's still a good deal without the coupon and then add a free DVD or something...that's makes it real nice.

Anyone find any deals on hard drives, CD-RW, or even a CD-RW / DVD combo (Ricoh/Toshiba) drive?

I heard that the Ricoh combo CDRW/DVD drives have a lot of issues. Might wanna check up on the forums before you make a move. I dunno about the Toshiba drives though - Toshiba has always been good to me.

^bump - I just checked this coupon and it's still working ...

SuperRob - Looks like you got some good Linksys deals with this coupon. I might pick up the Linksys WAP. If only my roommate didn't have a Toshiba 2.4 GMHz cordless phone though ...

Ben Hur pre order DVD. Hmmm. Now there's a movie I actually might want to own, rather than rent.

So when is Lawrence of Arabia, and Tess of the Dubervills, coming out on DVD?

dougjnn - Thanks for the Ben Hur pre-order suggestion I updated my initial post with that title and it's $15.99 price.

According to DVDFile.com (which is an EXCELLENT DVD site along with DVDTalk.com both are bookmark worthy) they report that Lawrence of Arabia is "in production".

I couldn't find any information on a possible "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" DVD though (1913/1924).

Lawrence of Arabia would really be good to own. Unlike Ben Hurr, the networks don't air it very often. For one thing, it humongous long, even for the age of Epics in Hollywood. Almost 4 hours. 2 DVD's for sure.

Say RossMan, how Much do you get for the Linkshare click through?
RossMan's get 2% on every purchase. So is Ross getting the Hot Deal? ;)
I'd say Ross will pocket a few hundred dollars this time around.

Ross are you the same guy spamming me with Hot Deal Linkshare click through spam?

The Tess I'm talking about was made by Milos Forman in about 1979. Starring a 17 year old Nastasia Kinsky. Gorgeous movie. Gorgeous Nastasia.

Has anyone ever tried using the $10 New customer coupon inconjuction with the $30 off coupon? I would be a new customer with Buy.com and wonder if I could get $40 off $150 or would it have to be $180.

Oh, for the $10 off purchase has to be $30 and of course the $30 off has to be $150.

Just a good pondering question.

Mytv,

Say RossMan, how Much do you get for the Linkshare click through?

Please show me where you see a Linkshare click through in this thread?

If you're referring to the URL I posted in this thread, then allow me to emphasize in BOLD what it says in ( )

(with FW's affiliate)

The last time I checked FW = FatWallet.com? Where do you see that FW = RossMAN?

RossMan's get 2% on every purchase. So is Ross getting the Hot Deal?

I don't know how much Linkshare pays for affiliate click throughs since I don't have a Linkshare account. That's funny I thought I posted this deal because:

1) This is a Hot Deals forum, is it not?
2) By that rational people post and discuss deals here do they not? I thought saving people $30 off $150 was a good idea, apparently not.
3) Yes I did benefit from this deal as did thousands of other people who read this thread.

I'd say Ross will pocket a few hundred dollars this time around.

Haha, again I implore you to show me how exactly I am going to make a few hundred dollars from posting this deal?

Ross are you the same guy spamming me with Hot Deal Linkshare click through spam?

Was this alleged e-mail from me (rossman@europa.com)? I didn't think so.
Was this alleged e-mail signed by Ross or RossMAN? I didn't think so.
Did this alleged e-mail contain my alleged Linkshare affiliate URL? I didn't so, since I don't have one.

Please prove me wrong, oh and do you want some fries with that?

Go away. RossMAN posted those links to save lazy a$$holes like yourself time. He doesn't get jack squat for doing it other than the satisfaction that he's helped out fellow members of this forum. I'm sure posts like yours really encourage him to want to keep it up.

You might try doing a little research next time before accusing people. Your post makes you look extremely foolish.

Ross:

Thanks for the deals, that post took a lot of work. Talk about some linkage.

MyTV

If ross was getting money for this, do you really think the mods wouldn't have locked this thread down by now? Come on. AT doesn't allow you to make money in these forums. Play nice or go home.

Anybody know the cheapest item at Buy.com? I need one to make use of the $30 off. Any input?
