Go to Dells' Small Business page ... scroll down a bit and you'll see a link to Outrageous Deal. Clink on that and then click on Desktop, you'll get the 9100 with 20 inch LCD deal. You can customize to your heart's content there.

But my advice is not customize. Buy the stock system and add in your own component. You'll be saving 50% by doing that.

When I first opened this thread, I looked at the deals and then looked at the date and thought to myself "Self, these deals are a couple weeks old. Nevermind." But I felt compelled to see why this thread was bumped. Alas, I found the above quoted post. However, there are probably some individuals that would not necessarily feel compelled after noticing the date. My point, you ask? Well, if this were my thread, I would add big bold text to the first post that says "LIST UPDATED ON 9/8/05!!!" and perhaps a few asterisks and whatnot.

I'm not crapping and this is a great thread if you have to buy a Dell this week, but man these deals aren't up to par with what we're used to seeing from Dell. The 4700's at around $800 should be $450. The 5100's at $900 should be about $500.

Just when I was convinced that there's no way to home build and get the same bang-for-buck if these prices are permanent I'm gonna have to rethink it. I'm pretty much over-due for a new box anyway as my poor old T-bird 1.3 has issues with even Solitare anymore...
