I have the same opinion. I can see the good points tot eh suburu, but the stylign is a real killer to me.

Four doors = very important.

I'll give the Z consideration the day you can see out the back of it.

doesn't look like a STi...what model year is it?

/had to ask even though OP won't reply anyways

It's an 02 Conversion.
02 Conversion. Meaning you didn't buy an STI? Meaning you bought a souped up WRX? There's no problem with doing that, but don't tell people you bought an STI when its a souped up WRX. That just makes you look like a dumbass, dumbass.

Enjoy your ride

lol, i kinda thought the same thing. I was expecting a USDM STi or atleast a JDM STi but all you bought was a souped up wrx.

It looks like the standard USDM 2.0L engine is in there. If u want a true conversion u would need the JDM 2.0 l engine... anyways...

And the beefed up 6 spd gearbox and the Brembo brakes and the lightweight BBS wheels and the countless other parts that differentiate an STi from a WRX. You cannot take a regular WRX (pre-2006) and make it into an STi without spending more than the cost of a new STi. Engine and transmission swap alone would put you over.

Hey, what did you build the box out of? I like the channel you cut out for the trunk arm...very good idea.

It was a really quick job. It's just MDF, nice and dense. I would say I will have ~$7000 in the system once it is finished.

While it looks nice I just can't see why someone would want to dump over $7k in car audio. Oh well. Everyone needs a hobby. Enjoy your new ride.

Change the title OP, bugeyes didn't come with an STi, and you're not gonna mod it to be one without spending as much as buying an STi. =0)

NOT an STi.

It has no Carbon fibre FHI strut brace up front. The Intercooler doesn't have STi on it, STi's do. Pic 2 shows standard WRX wheels. No red top STi motor.

That's no STI. Where's the pink!

Whatever, 02/03 WRX is still a lot of fun, but not nearly as fun as the GC8/6 chassis.
