Not the GTO. Too boat like, and yes, I have driven one.

As for the CTS-V, I was thinking about that. I just need to drive one. They look very clean in black with black/chrome rims. Nothing over the top, just very smooth.

May I recommend Honda Civic, Honda Accord, VW Jetta(more costlier), Honda Civic Si, Acura TSX, CR-V, RAV4.

These are practical cars, excluding the Civic Si and the TSX. Not what I'm going for. Any run-of-the-miller can have a riced out Civic. I like the WRX STi alot. The Nismo variant of the 350Z is the only one I'd be caught dead in.

if it's new, i'd say the Sti, as it's practical and has a pretty decent resale value.

if you're buying a used one, an Evo can be had for lower than an Sti

the 350Z is not that practical and scores low in my book. it's all about personal preference.

if it were up to me, i'd try to find a used Evo.

i mean used infiniti G35 sedan =P

Add the RX8 to that list too

No RX8.

someone hates rotary.

I'm still waiting for the long term reliability tests myself

yeah, the latter years is still the question i keep asking when considering the rx8 to buy. the 50/50 weight distribution and extra doors is a plus. i driven one and it was very fun to drive. only major known downside is the mileage at the moment.

rx8 is slow compared to those cars and costs a good bit to maintain.

STI Ftw here. Mitsu might be a tad faster but bit less reliable.

I'd get a STi or Evo over the Z350 for better all around performance stock and practicality. But styling aside, I'd gear toward Subi because their cars are generally more reliable.

Edit: if you don't like the new Subi styling you should go for a used STi with low mi like I did, and you'll save thousands that you can spend on mods.

Isn't the Subaru WRX Sti over 30,000? So in other words, you want a performance car?

I know it may not be what you ultimately want, but have you checked out the Audi A3 yet? That thing is smoking and is cheaper. You could also get a G35 at that price. I understand these are not your choices, but having different options can really help you when buying a car.

I like 4 doors ... and the WRX STi is the pick atm.

By the way, are there many car audio buffs here?

The only other cars I am considering are BMW M3 and M5. I'd wait for the new series of M3s to roll out though. The new M5 is already out.
