Suck it up and pay the fvcking fine. Will I say I don't speed? No, I do speed. Am I stupid enough to speed when a) there are places for cops to hide, and b) other people on the road? No. The only time I speed is when I am the only person I am putting in danger, or when the flow of traffic is greater than the speed limit.

If you show up for your court date, the judge will likely take off the points if you ask nicely. Otherwise just pay the fine, it's not worth fighting over the money. I pay out around $1200 a year in speeding tickets. Kinda sucks.

Just know that you didn't really do anything wrong, but your local government needs some money, and they selected you to help them out. :)

nice way of looking at things. Hope its not me and my kid that you kill when you are going to fast to stop.

Buy a Volvo.

I'd rather buy a Kenworth and cut off asshat speeders

I'd rather you be a smart enough driver not to pull into a situation in which I'd hit you.

Jesus Christ, I hope you fvcking die very soon. Whether it be in a flaming wreck in a ditch or from some horribly painful disease. Just fvcking die already. You are the reason abortion should be legal everywhere.

What speeding offense isn't criminal, dumbass? Secondly, rare for anyone to ever go to jail for speeding alone.

Guess what guys: paying the fine immediately is for suckers.

You have three possible outcomes from a speeding ticket:

1)Get a ticket, pay the fine immediately, suffer consequences (insurance hike).
2)Get a ticket, fight the ticket, found guilty, pay fine 1-3 months after ticket was issued, suffer consequences (insurance hike).
3)Get a ticket, fight the ticket, found not guilty, no fine or consequences.

There is no logical reason NOT to fight your ticket unless you can't spare 2-3 hours of your time (that includes time in court and paperwork). The outcome cannot be any worse, only better.

You are not entitled to discover in all states for speeding violations.

If you did it, and they'll allow you to do traffic school, that's a winning course. It won't cost you any less than the fine, but you'll knock the points off your record for three years. That will save you a lot of money on your insurance.

In some areas, there are traffic schools you can do online so you don't have to spend a couple of days with a bad standup comedian. :)

And I'm proud of it. I want to get my money's worth when I pay a fine; I figure wasting the state's time paying clerks/judges/deputies instead of just handing them their fine on a silver platter is one way to guarantee that.

Well I don't pay at all either, at least for my last 3 tickets (with fines of $210, $140, and $140). All dismissed because of discovery violations. And I can cruise at 80 MPH in the left lane of a 65 MPH stretch of interstate.

Dude please. Unless you are dealing with a wack-ass state like Wisconsin(DUI is civil or maybe it was MN). Anyway, speeding is "criminal' by the very literal definition of the word.

pbbbt you guys talk like youve never sped before. please.

fight it as far as you can. the judge always will reduce the number of points and usually the fine too if you go and show your point of view. say you were trying to pass someone to get to your exit. say someone was tailgating you. something like that...

Woah there, I'm not advocating LYING, that would be wrong. But it's your right to fight the ticket.
