UPDATE with PICS - Replacing the screen on my Surface myself. How to adhere the new screen?

Consumer Reports surveys owners of all sorts of things to glean reliability data. In this area Microsoft ranks lowest with an "Estimated breakage rate by the end of the 2nd year of ownership" at 25% (not to include things like phone drops). Motivations for building as reliable and as fixable as possible seem lost to sleek and light, mfr. efficiencies, and desired repeat consuming. I know you need the LTE and hopefully a brand higher up the ratings will add it.

Give Calib4G a try if you haven't already.

It can't calibrate around the fact that a large part of the screen is physically isolated from the rest of the digitizer.
