It may be a nice car, but don't try to say it's in the same class as the G35. Which wheels do the engine drive?
You're right, it's not in the same class as the G35. The G35 couldn't compare even if it was in the same price range. I test drove one...not impressed.

LOL, do you really believe that? I understand you wanna defend your car and everything, but come on. This reminds me of all the Altima guys saying, "Why would I buy a Bimmer when the Alty is 10 times better !!!"
You still got a pimp car. 🙂

Sounds badass. 🙂
Don't forget to baby it... as if I have to remind you. 😛
Buy a K&N air filter. Have it professionally installed. I mean professionally. You do not want any leaks or hoaky stuff in your intake system.
It is worth it, IMO. You will never have to buy an air filter again(just have to learn to clean them), the air feeding your engine will be cleaner, and best of all.. your engine will be able to breathe better, further increasing throttle response and crispness. 😉
Buy quality oil filters. Mobil1 probably makes the best easily available oil filters. Fram sucks.
I cannot stress this enough.. The filters in your engine are probably the most important thing to longevity, besides oil changes.
Even the best oil is rendered useless if your air filter and oil filter aren't doing their jobs.

Honestly, I have griven in both a G35 and the new Accord (not a 6 speed though) and I though they were pretty much on the same level. Yea, the G35 has a better exterior, but the accord's interior BLOWS the G35 away. Powertrian wise, The G has upper hand, but not by much. If I had to choose between the two, I think I would have gone with the accord too - is sure comes close to the G35, and for 10k less, the accord is the OBVIOUS choice 😉.
Have fun 🙂

Well, yes, Fram does suck. It sucks the royal hard one. But you don't need Mobil 1 oil filters. For perhaps just over half the price of a Mobil 1 oil filter, you can get the genuine Honda filter, readily available at the Honda dealership, and the aluminum press washer for the oil drain plug. You can't go wrong with Genuine Honda parts on your Honda.

Well.. A stock air filter doesen't. I was just erring on the safe side, assuming he doesen't have very much mechanical know-how.
Replacing the air-box and some tubing with a K&N is a little more tricky. You do not want any leaks.. A shoddy job could be disasterous.
Sixty mph comes up at just over six seconds from a standstill;
Inside, the G35 Sport Coupe offers an adequate level of luxury, but falls short of expectations set by the 3 Series coupe.
As expected, storage space is limited. The trunk will carry the token two golf bags.
Braking is only average for a small sporty coupe,

I don't think it would be disasterous. Installing an intake in place if the stock air box is about as simple as it gets for an install. I mean all it is is a metal pipe. Theres only one place for a leak, where it bolts up to the manifold ( and any vacuum tubes on it, if there are any on the Accord). It you get an erratic idle, just readjust the pipe to make sure it's sealed tight.

I think I'll hold off on the K&N for a little bit. I had one on the Supra and liked it but maybe I'll wait a bit for the kinks to get worked out.

I think you're a little mislead by this whole octane thing. The engine was either designed for use with high octane fuel, or it wasn't. The fuel itself does not contribute to more HP, however.. when you use lower octane fuel, the ECU has to compensate by basically lowering performance. So if you're supposed to put premium in it, put premium in it.Originally posted by: Snatchface Compared to the 325i, the Accord has an extra 55 ponies...65 if you're using high octane.
