Thanks for the deal, just ordered the black one, My wife loves it, I am putting my old gf3 into that box for her and I just preordered my ti4600 for my box. She thinks she can whip me at UT!

Ok, I'm a little scared. But I'm gonna take it like a man!

I am assuming atleast one person has received one of these cases. I didn't read the whole thread so please excuse me if I missed a post covering this already.

My question. Is the RETAIL black version supposed to arrive without either the top 5.25" bay cover or the top 3.5" bay cover? Also, I am assuming as it is supposd to be new, that this shouldn't be, but has anyone had theirs arrive with the warranty seal on the power supply already broken as if the power supply had been opened up at one time?

LMK if you would.

Thanks

i know you're asking about the black case, but the two beige cases i ordered last week both arrived without the 2 drive covers you're referring to. the warranty sticker on each power supply was intact and everything looked brand new. nice deal.

Dang, I wish they would have mentioned the lack of the two covers in the description. I can't say I have ever purchased a new case tht shipped without all the bay covers before. The internals are definately impressive for the price though.

Seems I am the only one with the power supply problem though:(

Anyone wiht a black one have the black paint on the front that is inside the grey ring (bay covers, USB cover area) be applied a little thin in areas so a bit of grey shows through?

I don't know about the black cases, but i was missing the covers too. But seeing as how i put a floppy drive and a cdrom drive in, it doesn't matter.

Yeah, it's really not a big deal anymore. I wanted to stealth my CD drives but after looking at the bay covers for a while I realized I don't like them much so I replaced them all except the bottom one with regular black bay covers which fits my tastes much better.

Hmmm .... Newegg folks are listing 2 EverCase cases, they both are beige for $42, the only difference is the model numbers, not sure what else is different ?

supposed to come missing. whats a case without a floppy or cdrom these days anyway? saves costs for them and saves you the hassle of taking them out and throwing them away

the E4252WEFA has a side case fan, while the E4252WEF5 doesn't have it...that's what i got from the description at least...

just sent you a pm, no the tray does NOT slide out.

actually, I think it makes the case sturdier that it doesn't, plus its not hard at all to install it either. Quite surprising how simple it is, just slide it in, screw it in and go. No problems.

As a side note do any of you have 2 cd drives in the evercase? i have my burner at the top and other right below, but my burner makes a ton of noise when i put a cd in it, should i bump my other drive down a slot? otherwise i love the case. 2 fans, side in rear out, 2 fan antec psu, keepin it a chilly 35 deg. C, gets up to 39/40 when in heavy use. easy to build tho,

I'm using the bottom two bays for my drives, 16x DVDROM then my 32x CDRW :D Thats just the way I build my machines. Didn't notice any noise that you are speaking off.

I've got 1 dvd drive on the top and a cd-rw below it. Did you put in any screws, even though its screwless? I went and stuck in a screw in each drive just to make sure its in place

this is like the coolest case I've ever seen. i'm using an asus p4b266 which only supports up to 4 ide devices so the extra hard drive spaces can't be put to good use..... come to think of it... i could leave the hard drive i use for ghosting inside the case instead of on my desk..... i'm sold!! great find :)

??? The front usb panel has wire to connect to the EXTRA USB port ON your mb (possible port 3, 4, or port 5 and 6 like my epox 8kh+), so you have more USB. Be sure to check your mb's manual for USB pin layout before you do it.

I bought this case last week and it came with a broken side case fan :( I emailed newegg on it and they want me to obtain RMA info. That's okay, considering the fan isn't worth the trouble of returning.

There are a few things that I'm not too happy with.
1. The clip that holds the pci cards in place is not tight enough. I can't put the external SCSI interface off the onboard SCSI without a screw. And once a screw is used, the clip won't work anymore. The edge of the case also blocks direct access to screw it, so I always have to screw it on somewhat tilted. Not too bad though.
2. The lowest 5.25in bay can't hold a CD-Rom drive because it'll collide with the motherboard.
3. The bay locks can only hold either the bottom set or the top set of holes, depending on the bay. For one of my bay adapters, there were no top holes, so I was limited to where I wanted the drive...or end up not using the lock.

Of course, these are picky things about the additional features, so I can't really complain. The other midtower cases I was considering didn't even have enough drive bays for me. Overall, it's a pretty nice case.
