this is a dumb question i'm sure but....

i'm ordering fans for this from the cybercooler deal (which was extended until 1/15).

do i order 4 pin or 3 pin fans?

the fans on that site (the 80mm ones) move 32 cfm @ 26db - is that cfm high enough and is the loise level too high? (their only $3.49 with buy one get one free)

thanks

WolverinesSuckn - You will want the 4 pin, unless it is for the CPU, then you may want a 3 pin, which is for
running off the motherboards 3 pin connector. If you want to run a 3 pin off the power supply, you can buy
a 3 to 4 pin converter for that. You also may want to think about getting some 4 pin extension pieces in case
you need a little extra length. Don't worry about the cfm for the fans. Just about any current cpu or case fan
you see will move an adaquate amount of air, even for overclocking. This fan speed thing is really not that important.
You will not make an unstable system stable (even when overclocking) by increasing fan speed! It's the heatsink that
matters more. As far as noise, no one can tell you what's too noisy to you.

looks like a great deal if it does!

FYI the PS on this is not AMD approved I had this same PS with My XP1600 and 8KHA+ and the Epox board didnt like it. But I am very tempted to buy this case for my wife for here BX pc great price. the PS is not rated over 950MHZ AMD so running any higher is pushing it. they changed there rating on this PS to XP1600 it was at 950 MHz not more than 3 weeks ago dosent make sense.

Actually it is AMD approved according to the model number you can faintly see on the newegg picture, and the link posted by someone earlier in this thread to the AMD site. It shows it approved up to 1600+. I can't imagine why it wouldn't work on all the AMD cpu's though.

The model number from the picture is: ATX-1125BTA (Enhance Electronics brand)
Here is the AMD List

Also the manufacturers PDF file says its AMD approved for all AMD processors up to Athlon XP.

darlantan- where are you getting the black case from? i don't see it at newegg and it doesnt' seem like you can order off the evercase website...

as for the ps, what would happen if i put a 1800+ xp and dragon+ into this case? would it still run but be dangerous for the chip or would it not even power up?

thanks-

Simple. The faster the processor, the more power it draws.

I myself am torn between this case and an Antec 1030. The power supply doesn't matter to me (I've got an XP1800+) because I'm taking that out and putting it on my P3 system. Any suggestions?

I am thinking about getting me a i845-D motherboard and one of the newer P4's that are soon to come out (after the price goes down). I think the 300 watts should be plenty for my machine (1 CD, 1 CD-R, 2 IBm 45GXP, GeForce 2 GTS-V). Anybody know if it will be enough...I ordered the case anyway, since it was a really good price.

Just ordered this case for my future mother in-law...Is this case really only 16.4inches tall? It looks a lot taller than that....I hope it's true, I've been searching for a smallest case for her, and finally gave up and just ordered this one because of the price. :)

Do you honestly believe a 1800cpu draws that much more power than a 1600 that it would make a difference?

I emailed Mark from evercase regarding the black case, and he says that the case is selling for $60 +$15 shipping with rear and side case fans and 300W PSU.
I asked him if they sold it without the PSU, he said no, but u can upgrade the CPU to Sparkle power PSU 350W. Then I told him about the newegg deal, and he said and I quote: " The newegg.com's deal is excellent."

I was like.. OKAY.
but the SPI PSU is really excellent.

FSP350-60BN

Tough choice eh?
All adds up to $105 bucks for it. ouch.

Pasiii-

Chances are it wont boot up. It will never burn ur chip though. Even if it powers up, ur system may suffer from frequent lockups due to low wattage.
Its crazy. "low" wattage my ass. 300W man. I used to use 200W.

Given the rating that the PS received, yes. It would appear that it does.

Guys, I would like to have your opinions on the following two cases, thanks

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1320227192

http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage...13-07.JPG/11-150-013-08.JPG/11-150-013-10.JPG

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1319661761(this one doesn't have a power supply)

I think the first one on Ebay looks pretty good, the third one(ebay) which doesn't have a power supply also looks great, isn't it? I am in need of a case now, please tell me what u thinks compare those two with the one u guys just bought, thanks

Smackattack - If you're not married to that sparkle, you might want to consider just ordering the case with the power supply, getting
This for $54, and you end up with something just as good, with an extra power
supply for less than $99.
