I'm kind of excited - I've lived in Panama City for 5 years and have only experienced a whimpy tropical storm. When/if the damned storm finally makes it's NE turn, and if it does come near up, the Air Force will evacuate my family from the area.

The storm is rather small, though.

It can still work its way into the Carolinas Excelsior, except it will only be rain then.

Check out the predicted storm track.

The last thing the Carolinas need is more rain after last week...

Sometimes they get big fast though.

Not suggesting anyone panic. (I've ridden through my share of storms when I lived in the Tidewater area of VA) People should keep an eye on it though, you never know.

If it doesn't curve that hard, it will hit where I live.

Cool. I'll take pics if I get to see the eye.

Gulf to NC.

What's -ing about that?

What's not confusing about that? Carolina's are a good 400+ miles from the coast. NC is even further.

One of the nice thing about Atlanta is that we're far enough from the coast(s) that hurricanes have usually lost a lot of steam by when/if they make it here.

I wish something exciting would happen around here for a change.

I meant to ask you if it was last week you went on the Charleston beach vacation. Get any rain?

Wow, Charley's already a hurricane and expected to strengthen?
Good luck to all of you down there.... hopefully you don't experience significant problems, and worst of all - - loss of internet connection
