Well, we don't know if they were racists or not, and frankly I don't care if they are. An adult assaulted a minor and stole his property, there are no conditions that justify that action. You choose to view it as street justice, a proud man defending the honor of the oppressed, it fits your agenda so you approve. I doubt you'd be so willing to accept an assault if you were on the receiving end. What if someone finds your vocal approval of attacking children offensive and decides to put you down? Their justification would be every bit as valid as yours.
The difference between your argument and mine is that yours is based on hate and anger, mine is based on civilized behavior and the law of the land.

URL says that some random news site reported that a witness reported such - but then later took the article down because they couldn't find any credible evidence.

Let's be honest here - you're talking 16 year old weak ass white kids. Do you REALLY think they were ever talking shit? In what realm does that make sense to you? The video itself shows 1 huge ass retard (that is now arrested) throwing a drink at 2 kids.

I'm working now but I saw those charges on more than a couple sites if not mistaken not fake or random news sites...

Doesn't excuse either side if accurate...

Yeh, and all the maudlin hand wringing & "See! See! They're the violent ones!" routine is expected behavior for conservatives' oh-so oppressed victim mentality. It's not like the kid got beaten to a pulp with sticks, run over with a car or shot to death in church.

I can tell just by the glimpse of the kid you see in the video... Because it was just like me - never touched a weight in my life at that point. Except I was fat and obese at the time instead of skinny and emo looking. You can tell from that face that they wouldn't raise an issue with a 6 year old let alone some buff douchebag. Conflict isn't in their agenda because they wouldn't even know how to proceed in it.

It's... on the same level? Stealing someones property and threatening to beat the shit out of them is in the same agenda, they are simply not stupid enough to counter and get their ass beat.

If they were stupid kids they would have tried to defend themselves, which would have ended in violence. But they aren't stupid kids - so they let the situation diffuse. The fact remains that the person in the video was a douchebag - and there is no doubt that if the kids said so much as "give me back my hat!" and tried to take their own property back the stupid piece of shit would have committed battery.
