UPDATE: New machines are added!!

Thanks for all the wraps I got for reaching 100K WUs in SETI. It really was my main goal. But now my main goal has been revised. Robor, I'm coming for YOU! 😉

It's been quite a while since I've given you an update of my armada's status. I say Armada because after this new assimilation, it won't be anything less! I presently have about 105 computers (ranging between a P2 400 all the way up to 20 P4 2.4GHz machines) all crunching SETI for me. Day in day out. Although, some of the crunchers now get switched off, which never used to happen... Grrr...

Anyway... the good news is this. In addition to this fleet of 105 machines I am very happy to inform you all that I will be adding an additional 23 P4 2.66GHz machines tomorrow morning. These machines, I estimate, will put out around 8-10 WUs/day EACH! Giving my daily output a nice little boost of around 200WUs/day. Meaning that I should hopefully be sitting pretty at about 500WUs/day on my peak. And that's not all. By the end of the year I will have added perhaps another 5 or so such machines. So 550WUs/day will probably be my absolute peak through to 2004. And then... ahh then... I anticipate a possible doubling of that output some time next year.

COME GET SOME!!!

Wow that is great news Pie!
You will need to really crank them out to catch Robor! I know he is handicapped currently but hopefully not for long. It would be great to see him back at full speed and you and he slugging it out!

I was gearhead in highschool so I'll try to describe it like this... Sad to say the blazing fast car that was going around the track so fast and leading the pack for years is now on one cylinder. You would've overtaken me eventually but I really wish I could put up a better race. Either way, when it happens you'll have earned it and it will be an honor to be passed by such a great TeAmmate! 😀

For now I'll just walk thru my office and (sigh)... All of my ships are asking me why their SetiQ box isn't answering... I can't take it!!!!! 😉

Congrats on the additions. Glad to hear someone's fleet is growing! 😀

Nah, not a good time. We've got sites closing and equipment moving all around. To bring up something that's totally unwork related right now would not be a good career move. 😉 Maybe after the dust settles. 🙂

 
Fair enough.
My work fleet is still down atm ,may stay that way ,depends if the company has changed its rules or not!😕........... not that it was anything compared to yours😉 (2x PIII 800 & 1x PIII500,24/7)
