It has lots of features including USB2.0, Raid. I do search the net and seems people like the board.

Yes, it's refurb but I wonder if these boards are real refurb from MSI and not returned from people. Lots of available.

Link to it.

Edit link fixed.

fuzzy logic is the software u can use in windows to step the bus speeds up, monitor heat, etc. like a win gui chipset interface

THANKS A LOT ANANDTECH!!!

you forced me to spend very little money on a very nice product ~~AGAIN~~

is there a Hot Deals addiction? if so i think i have it 🙁

P.S. the cheapest price for the PRO2-RU elsewhere is over $100, so $59 with FREE SHIPPING is truly a ***HOT*** deal!

<< Looks like two boards, one has raid and fuzzy logic. What is fuzzy logic? >>

fuzzy logic is a good thing: it's logical, but then it's all warm and fuzzy too, so you get the best of both worlds! 😀

RU comes with Raid and USB2.0

Fuzzy logic is a set of tools from MSI that supposedly automatically adjusts the CPU to it's 'best' condition in realtime. Not sure how it works, but that's what it's supposed to do. Also, the one that comes on most MSI CDs will not work with XP so don't try. I think you need to have at least version 3.2.6.1 to work with XP

HOT deal assuming it works. I have a Chaintech 7SID refurb from newegg that I had to send back 2x before I got a good one, but that's one product out of about 120 orders I've made so far. Other than that, yes Newegg is the heezy for sheezy. I remember paying like $140 from Newegg when this mobo came out last year....

I was looking at getting this but what about all the usb cables and stuff. It says that refurbs don't come with those. Is that true and if so where could I get that stuff? Thanks.

I asked that question before I bought a refurb mobo from newegg since certain cables are hard to buy, I told them I do not care about manual, software CD, or IDE cables, I only want to know if there was audio or USB cable. They replied my email very fast, but only quoted their standard policy without even bother to check their product. Anyway I took the chance, and prepared to home-make the audio cable. But the mobo came with a retail box, everything was inside, not a single missing piece. It was opened, used, of course. It has problem when overclock, but works fine in default fsb. So I cannot say the mobo is broken. 😕

not sure about refurbs. you never know if what kind of problems you might be getting. if y'all are looking for a cheap, good quality mobo, try the shuttle ak35gtr from newegg. it's only $88 "new". comes with the new highpoint 133 raid controller. and overclocks well. only thing missing from this thing compared to the msi is usb 2.0. but now you can also get a usb 2.0 card for less than $20 if you really need one.

Well I just got mine, I'm a little upset because it's missing all the cables and manual and drivers. This is the 4th board I've bought from neweeg and this is the only one that didn't come with everything, I guess 1 out of 4 ain't bad.

It looks brand new though, I'll be trying it out in a bit and let you know.

By the way this board was supposed to have an extra USB 1.0 port, USB 2.0 port and a smart key thing that locked your computer down if it wasn't installed. We'll see what happens.

No more MSI for me. I tried 2 of these refurb boards and a new one, and none of them would even boot (well, actually one worked for a couple of hours before crashing). All three endd up giving me the SSOD (stop screen of death) complaining about some driver problem in two separate configs. Throw in the previous MSI K7T266 I owned that was full of bugs, and I will never buy another MSI board.

I switched to Epox 8kha+. I bought one new and one refurb and never have had any problems with the same hardware...YMMV. BTW, I have had mostly bad experience with Newegg mobo refurbs. None have ever come with all the accessories. Not such a great deal when you have to go find a USB 2.0 connector to get USB on your new mobo...

FedEx just dropped off my MSI K7T266 Pro2-RU mb.

There isn't any cables, manual or driver CD.. not even the MSI box.
Newegg just put the mb inside an anti static bag then put that inside
the FedEx shipping box -- no packaging peanuts or bubble wraps.
And yes, the mb has all the indications of being used -- circular
screw marks around the 6 mounting holes and chipped CPU socket.
I haven't had time to test it to see if it works or not yet.

When Newegg said it's refurbished bared/OEM they really meant it.
