Damn straight. And with the full version of Wolfy-3D that came with the last issue of PC Gamer, you should be set 😀

<< stacker rocks >>

i was just about to say that...stacker was the BOMB. i never could get 2:1 compression though, only about 1.7:1 on my 20MB hard drive. woohoo baby!! 34MB!!!

hehe I was bored and had a 500mb drive lying around so I took it apart to get the magnets out. Hard drives have really strong magnets in them. After i got the magnets out i had many hours of fun playing with.🙂

Man, stacker screwed me so bad once. I had a TON of data (as much as you can have on 10Gb) when Stacker got corrupted. I was SO mad. THere was another product out there like that which I didn't use because Stacker had gotten better reviews. I'm still scarred from that experience when it comes to considering disc compression.

<< scary thing is...i remember when my hard drive WAS 120mb!!!!!!!

My first hard drive (IBM PS2 286) was 20MB! However, I did run Stacker on it to get it to 30MB or so...

I think my first hard drive was 40MB, but my first computer and 2nd computer didn't have hard drives. The first had a tape drive (later got a 5.25" for it) and my 2nd had a 3.5". Amazing that there were alot of good things that fit on a floppy back then.

What Lizardman said. I have taken several apart for the magnets. 🙂

If you went to buy magnets that strong they would probobly cost more than $4.

You young'uns and your fancy-schmancy hard drives! Bah! When I was your age all we had for permanent storage were dual 5.25 inch floppies! Had to carry those things to school everday though the snow - up hill both ways! And we liked it too!!!
