I only got 1 check. Did you guys, who got 2 checks, call Natalia for the first one. I called her, and that's how I got my first one.

Most people report good results after flashing to the release 2,5 firmware.

No one is going to buy this crappy CDRW.
I'm going to throw it in trash can and get new one.

I used the new firmware, and it works great. Haven't had a buffer underrun problem so far. Maybe this was a lucky one, who knows. Anyways, I think I will sell it for a 12X burner, or a 24X.

Also got my other 40 dollar rebate, my bastard roommate just didn't tell me.

Ever since I did the firmware upgrade, I was still disappointed in the burning of this CDRW....then, I got a hold of NERO...the fact that it has a software buffer built into its platform made all the difference in the world.

this drive is great, if it uses a reliable and proven burning program; NERO is worth every penny INMHO.

Finally got my $40. Emailed my info to Natalia (natalia.russ@philips.com) on 4/1 and did not get a response.

4/23, check arrives from Philips with a return address in Ohio.

That only took 9 months...

I just got something in the mail that my warranty is going to expire and I should pay them like $150 for a 3 year warranty. Anyone else get that? I hope no one is stupid enough to actualy do that. Cheaper to just go buy a brand new fancy burner. What a crock.

I just recieved my $40 bucks yesterday. Thanks to everyone who posted. If it wasn't for this thread, I would be $40 bucks poorer!
